I saw this same tractor for sale on Ebay about a month ago. For some reason I think it was offered for sale somewhere in the US, possibly Tennessee?

Here it is again : Steiner Tractor on EBAY in ENGLAND

And here is the same tractor again, but this time with all the pictures as the original auction from last month. Notice the wording of this auction and compare it to the wording in the listing for the auction above: The SAME tractor for sale at the SAME time by someone else

Same tractor that sold last week in Albemarle, NC........that add had the sellers phone number in it. Someone may want to notify him or eBay about it.

Edit

completed sale

I knew it was sold somewhere in the south!

I already notified EBAY about both of the auctions before I posted this. What I really found amazing is that the same thing is listed twice at the same time. And those are the only two Steiner tractors for sale right now so anyone who would do a search on Ebay for Steiner would find the same auction twice. The scammers, in this case the 2 scammers, are just itching to be caught.

Itching to get caught, but absolutely nothing will happen to them. That is the sad part.

Bob, your first link now shows an invalid item, so guess that one was pulled, but the second link takes us to a sale in England. Were both the sales you saw from England? Sure seems the scammers are getting worse doesn't it? John

Both of the links were for tractors for sale in England. One had about 1 and 1/2 days left on the auction, the other had better than a week left on the auction when I posted both of the links. Both showed the EXACT same picture. Both had the EXACT same text. Both had lifted the majority of their text directly from the original legitimate auction.

It is nice that Ebay shut down the first auction, but I guess they think the second one is legit?

Now both items appear to be shut down!

That was my original thought Bob. Now, as em14 states, they've closed them both. Maybe it takes them a little while to ensure that they're doing the right seller and not closing down someone who is legit. I know that I will be VERY cautious buying anything on Ebay any more. it's getting too risky from what I can tell. I used to do a little selling and buying on there, and bought my motorhome on Ebay, but maybe not any more. John

I would supose that fraudulent car auctions are probably pretty common just like the fraudulent tractor auctions we all seem to stumble across. For "big ticket items" I bought 2 cars on Ebay (one new from a dealership, the other a classic) and had good experiences with both, but there was a lot of communication before I bid (email & telephone). Both transactions were flawless, so maybe I was lucky? I do know I did my homework to the best of my ability before bidding.

I've sold tractors on Ebay too. But the serious bidders always asked a lot of questions. Some of the bidders who where willing to spend several thousand $$$ and didn't contact me made me a little nervous, but none of those types ever seemed to win anything. As it is, I occasionally buy stuff on Ebay, but not a lot. And I've really not had any bad experiences (yet?).

Wouldn't it be nice if someone could hack into these scammers systems & cause them a little grief.
