Praha,
I bought used because my credit wasn't excellant. I wanted to buy new years ago. Anyway, just get what you want and have fun with it. That is why I am buying a hoe when I can rent one.
If you make it down near Houston, my Mahindra dealer is north of there in Conroe. Top Flight Equipment, Top Flight Trailers - buckingham spurs, arborist supply is their name and they are also a Massey dealer. Tell Travis I sent you and he'll let you test drive all of them.
hugs, Brandi

The saga continues,
little story for little entertainment,

I just came from AR and I am in a different ballgame now. I gave up on cleaning the brush there, It would take me forever, and in the meantime the brush would be a much more dense and much bigger. I don't have a time to do what needs to be done . I hired a bulldozer guy..........................he will clean and burn. I hope he won't start a national TV forest burning story.
So I am not going to need a big tractor any more. It looks like 26 HP will be plenty.......My wife thinks my ATV is an overkill for what I need....riiight , honey.

So my big tire dream seems to be fading away. Plus, he wants 500 dollars to dig a house foundation. How can I justify a tractor with BH???? WHY is it SO cheap! Charge me 3000 and then a big tractor purchase makes sense...lol.

Brandi, I didn't go to TX., due to a bad weather.

You might check out Mahindra 2815 HST which is what I have and its rated at 28hp and is non turbo, I like to keep things simple. I have the loaded tires, FEL, KK 5ft Box blade and a KK 5ft Rotary mower. Put it in low range and fwd and so far it will do everything I need to do on my property. One reason that I went with this model over Kioti CK25 is because the Tie rod assembly is mounted on top of the axle and is safe from hitting stumps or rocks. Another reason and rated NO. 1 on my list is if you compared Mahindra to other tractors threads the Mahindra tractor have very little problems with them. If you don't get a tractor you will be missing out on a lot of fun work. Good luck with the wife......

Joe,
ATV? My old tractor was my ATV. I would get on it and go riding on it just before sunset. :) While working bush piles near my swampy area, the turning brakes are so much fun sliding around in the mud! :D I read somewhere here a guy was using his loader for carrying a deer. Sell the ATV and get your dream, even if it has smaller tires than you wanted. I need the FEL, but the BH will be my fun time toy that will work also.
What will you do with the AR property now? Thorns and briars will come back quickly since it is cleared. :(
hugs, Brandi

I had a dealer once tell me that they aren't open a lot on Saturday's in the winter months, due to business being pretty slow on farm equipment during the winter.

If you're going to trailer a tractor the best way to do it is with a goose neck. That places the weight over your rear axle instead of on the bumper.

The 3510 is a dandy tractor, it weighs in at around 3400 or 3500 pounds.

Hi Joe,
Sounds like you're being pretty thorough. Good luck in your search.
Keith B mentioned that the best way to trailer a tractor is a goose neck,
I have a '97 F150 and a goose neck is a poor option for this vehicle because of the weak support of the pickup bed at the area over the rear axle but I have found that by using a 'weight distributing hitch assembly' in my frame mount receiver it does a great job of pulling a standard 7'x16' flat bed dual axle car hauler with my 2015hst+FEL+hoe+bx scrpr on board (~5000# total for the load[~3600#] AND the trailer[1400#]). The weight is distributed to both front & back axle and suprisingly it felt like the total rig handled better than the empty truck alone!
I still have ~1800# of capacity to spare.
CA has a limit to the overall length of the combination rig (40')you can pull without having a commercial license, so make sure you check out the rules in the states you are going to haul it across! Hope this small experience will help you along your journey.
Take care -kenny-

Well,

I have to go back to AR next months. When I am done with the brush, I will have to maintain it somehow. I may ask him for help in the meantime. I will take over when I move there.

And this is what happened from the beginning.

I stopped at the dealer in Little Rock area/Mahindra/. My bad luck went on. the dealer let me wait for 20 minutes , talked to me 3 minutes, talked to a bunch of co workers while talking to me, sorry we are VERY busy....and left again.
They did not even have 3510 on a lot. Feeling like being in a wrong place in a wrong time I left. I had it enough with Mahindra dealers at least for now. OK, maybe some day I'll be more lucky.
I went to see a Kubota dealer next day. His grand L 3130 was Cheaper than M3510. Great people, friendly, super. But he did not have a gear model. To get it ASAP , no problem.

"I" was the only problem.

Next morning, I saw the "jungle" on my land and I just did not feel like /w 3130/ I'll be up to the challenge. I just gave up and hire that fellow. You know the rest of the story.

By now, I memorized almost all models , specifications, loaders options and features of all major brands on the market. I know more then most salesmen.
I am ready for the tractor theorie Olympics..lol
Now, I should start practicing...
