Thanks for all the input in my recent posts. I have narrowed it down to 2 tractors. 2001 4700w/loader with 10hrs for $22500 or a 2000 5105w/loader with 57hrs for $20500. The 4700 has more bells and whistles but is it worth the extra $2000 (that adds up to several implements). The reason I am considering the 4700 is for towing. Thanks again for your input.

Huh...?

You better check again... the 5105 has much more torque and more mass for towing purposes... and it's a Cat II utility class tractor versus the Cat I 4700 Compact tractor...

The main difference with the 4700 is the hydrostatic transmission offered versus the shuttle shift trans. on the 5105...

57 hours is spit on a tractor... you might as well consider it brand new demo...

I don't really know your uses lined up for the tractor... but the 5105 is certainly alot of tractor for the money...

But you best buy what your heart decides on... not on any of our opinions... or you'll be kicking yourself for a long time...

I,m sorry, what I meant by towing was, trailering. I have a 10,000# trailer and when you add up everything not including implements, there is only a few hundred pounds to spare.
2800 trailer
4275 tractor
1200 loaded tires
1500 loader
9775 total

I agree with John. If I had that choice and didn't have to have a compact that is way more tractor even if the two were priced equally. The fact that the 5105 is less money is even more reason to buy it over the 4700. You will be able to do way more with the 5105 compared to the 4700. Now if you need the compact because of space then that is something to consider.
