I am going to be adding 2 more valves bringing me up to a total of 3. All of the lines are going to be 3/8" and I am going back and updating my current front remote to 3/8" because the 1/4" QDs don't flow enough.
I was putting a parts list together at Surplus Center and there are a few choices in 3/8" QDs.
There is the 3/8" safeway: https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-6347&catname=hydraulic
There is the 3/8" NPT QUICK COUPLER F/F https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-7381&catname=hydraulic
Both have the same pressure and flow ratings. The second one, I can just buy the halves as well as a set. This is appealing because I can then buy just the parts I need to add different things to my remotes. I guess if I make them M/F on the tractor side, I would just get another set to put on the tool side.
Either way, what say the wisdom of TBN? Does it matter?
On a related note, since QDs cause a restriction, would it be wise to adapt up to a 1/2" QD with 3/8 hose?
