I have a Land Pride York rake which is going to be sold with a John Deere 950 tractor.
I tried it out on the BX23 (whose front wheel drive axle is currently dead).
My 1200' driveway is quite hilly and has to bends in it.
Well the Land Pride rake worked quite well.
The 3 point hitch on the tractor was just purchased and it probably is the same one used on the BX25. I know it is narrower than the one on the JD950 since the scarifier section of the Land Pride doesn't fit.
Both pieces weight about 250 pounds.

Now that rake is going with the John Deere Tractor.
I'm thinking of a purchasing a York Rake (Unadilla, NY) 6' RW and 0250 wheels (bigger wheels).
The most important thing for me is that it handles the 1200' driveway properly without needing continuous adjustment.
using the 3 point hitch to hit a critical angle which continuously changes does not work for me.
The BX23 hitch seems a bit jumpy to attempt anything like that.
I'm mainly needing to crown it and even the edges for drainage.
One problem I see is that crowning it brings rocks in the center of the road.
Not a good thing as I was also thinking of trying to get rid of the rocks to be able to run a snowblower over it in winter.
Has anyone practical experience with the RS and or RW York Rakes ?
The landpride york rake weighs in at 250 pounds which is about what the 6' RW York Rake weighs.
The RS is only 150 pounds.
I very concerned with the 3 point hitch holding the rake at the correct height.
The Landpride with the 3 point hitch dropped seemed to work pretty good.
Aggressive but not too aggressive.
I expect I can trim the aggressiveness with the top link.
I hope this isn't too confusing.
