If people think its tough nnow jist wait....and from the political point we could jump right into prophecy now couldn't we...funny how "a world economy" is jist a frosting or blanket statement for the truth of what is really happening...novus ordo seclorum..and what is that doing on the back of our one dollar bill.."one world government" look whats happened in europe...the euro..the european collaboration to be a single unified power...how bout the fact that our capitol is laid out in the exact shape of a pentagram...it really bothers me that we..."the vast majority of americans cant see whats really goin on..." or we just choose to ignore it..eat drink and be merry because tomorrow were gonna die...if u think nafta and gatt were bad jist wait till the kyoto protocol is signed.. its basically the constitution for the united nations...u wanna talk bout scary!!! one of the things i love about this forum is the politeness and intellect that we have here...i love my iseki tl 3201 by the way /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
butter is just about $4 a pound up here in maine and my better half came home with margarine for the first time since i've known her!!!!!!!!!
I'm a lineman by trade and was a union brother for 6yrs. IBEW....and couldn't stand all the standing around on shovels!!!!!!! our field general super used to say that if all of our transmission crews were as good as my crew were...then the co.. would be able to win more bids...i had the "PLEASURE!!" and i say that with all the facetiousness i can muster!!! of working at one of our local paper mills for a sub contractor for the last year....the first company i worked for was comprised of people that travel all over the country following their trades..pipe fitters and welders,millwrights,riggers-thats what i was, and iron workers...the chaff was weeded out real quick..u know the shovel leaners...when sw&b finished the project and i was laid off i was given the highest evaluation the office had ever seen.. hence my 4 foremens nickname for me ...mighty mouse /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I'm happpy tobe living in the freest country in the world...BUT!!!..when i was sought out by the home sub contractor to go work for them and i witnessed the most blatant waste of time and materials i have ever seen anywhere in my life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It made me ashamed to even work for BE&K!!!!!!
I was told all the time to slow down , take a break, goof off ,your makin the rest of us look bad i guess i was labeled as trouble...but whenever there was an emergency or a hurry up we really need this done !!! and we neede a tool or something that we didnt have they asked me to git it from my old contacts in the mill or from swb...it really blows me away that the "american dream job" is standing around and gittin paid for it...and we ask how is this happening to us...hence the earlier statement "we've shot ourselves in the foot" i concur.....now remember that i'm not talkin bout my wonderful friends here at tbn!! as most of us here are proud to cash our paychecks!!! I can honestly say that working for be&k not only put a lot more gray on my head but also made me physicaly sick and i can honestly say that there weeks when i was ashamed to cash my check...at the end of some weeks i looked back and felt as though i hadn't accomplished anything!!! I feel and know in my heart that our country is in deep peril...and it not only saddens me but scares me too..

Now you know why this country is the way it is. You put it all in a nutshell. The whole system really stinks. Last year I went to visit my brother in the hospital. He rang for the nurse to help him go to the bathroom. 10 minutes later I walked to the desk to see if anyone was working. Three nurses were standing around shooting the crap while my brother needed to go to the bathroom. I let them have it with both barrels. You should have seen the look I got from them. Kinda like, we'll get to him when we are good and ready. That was when I said "NOW" My brother and I got one lady at the hospital transferred because she couldn't do his insurance paperwork properly. (3 times she tried) In MA. policemen are at every road detail or construction site. They make anywhere from $28-36.00 and hour. Many don't even get out of the car. I have seen many asleep at the wheel because they have already worked a full shift before getting to the other job. I know people that work for the school system in the offices. They say that the people that have been there for years do very little work. They expect the new people to carry the load for them. I won't mention which party they are in, but it is not the Republican party. Many feel that the system should provide for them. My neighbor (250K earnings) Put their daughter in DYS a few years back because she was unruly. He real father makes over 300K a year. DYS paid for her to go to school and college at the taxpayers expense. Is this right? Hell no it isn't. I have another friend who had two daughters that got pregnant at a very young age. Welfare came in and took care of everything for them. We (the taxpayer) all paid for this. Apartment, schooling and medical bills paid for by the taxpayer. Many American's don't want to be accountable for themselves anymore. They want the free ride. Work for the system and do nothing and collect a check. The State Police here just found out that a high ranking officer had a high paying no-show job. It seems he is also into real estate full time. I wonder how many of his police friends got a good deal on property and are covering up for him. He filed for retirement the day he got exposed. He has had this no show job for the last 6 years.

Choices are pretty limited for the oversized lawnmower market(unde 25hp group), Seems you have to give up a lot of technology like decent hyd , power steering, 3pt and other minor stuff like that.
Restore American Iron like me. "86 CIH 380B - German engine, UK buily, LOL. It's tougher than you realize and takes some research to truly buy All American tractor.

I hear you jimr...always saw those signs going into mass about illegal to have guns and was?????and could tell you about a young couple friends of mine that sailed to bermuda ona 24' sailboat from south portland maine and they stopped in ny harbor at the coast guard base for some reparsto their little generator about 15 yrs ago and had their entire boat ransacked and their 3rd member of the crew arrested and hauled to jail and put in front of the magistrate for having a 12 ga mossberg on board for protection!!up here we all have lotsa guns and lotsa ammo but what to do in a crisis /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
When i lived in alabama i was about to join a local private militia group(no **** crap !! just a bunch of the local goodol boys and farmers that love to shoot!!! and i mean a lot of shootin /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)when my now ex decided she wanted a divorce and i decided to go back on the road doin linework agin.
If i knew of a local militia group that has a bunch of guys with good heads on their shoulders i'd join in a second!! Do any of you guys know of any or belong to one or maybe we oughta start one??

I don't know of any local groups like that. I do belong to a Rod and Gun club and have many friends that own all types of firearms. Most of them have carry permits also. We believe the best defense is an armed one. Most of my neighbors know who's house to head to if the ? ever hits the fan here. I also am a lifetime NRA and GOAL member. Check the attachment.

I used my tractor yesterday to pull an 8" cherry stump out of the ground. It only took me about 10 minutes to dig and rip it out. Boy, do tooth bars work great for this kind of work.

Ahhh....JimR, what can I say. We think alike. Fine armory you've got there. I can't match it but I'm within hollerin' distance. But I'll tell you one very depressing fact: They'll never pry more than two of them out of your cold dead hands. The day I realized that was the day that the enthusiastic gun collecting came to an end.

That and I think I was a much better shooter when I only had a few guns. May be the old eyes....d'ya think?

Roho please try not generalize,just because a few German tourist spit on Lance Armstrong on his way thru the French alps doesnt mean the average people is anti-american.
If you ever go there you will be greeted like a member of the family,especially if you make the effort to babble a few words in their language,it really isnt that hard ,french and german share so many words with english.
