Looking into TYM, they offer models with the Yanmar (powers a lot of compact tractors) or Kukje (unfamiliar with this make).
Is there a benefit of one or the other?

Yanmars are great engines as they are in everything. I went with the Kukje, it's a Cummins A series engine which Kukje is licensed to build. Parts are available for these engines throughout the country, although you probably will never need anything but filters for either engine. The Kukje has no computer controlling the engine, only the stand alone DPF system in my tractor. It's been a good engine for me so far, no issues starting in cold weather.

I think TYM now owns Kukje.

Yes, Kukje owned Branson and TYM bought them both.

The C is just the model with a cab.

I'm no expert, but I have been looking in the same range. The comparison would be better between the 494 (Kukje) and 454 (Yanmar). These are basically the same frame (series 4) with different engines and transmission options.

The 474 is a series 3. It is not only a smaller frame, but has fewer bells and whistles.

All of these can be had with or without cabs and with Shuttle or HST transmissions.

Get the T494 if ya can swing it and have room. It lifts almost 700# more on FEL and 1000# more on 3 point than the T474, it is a frame size up. The Kukje A2300N4 is a REALLY sweet engine, it is way more quiet than any Yanmar (Though not a bad engine). And just sounds more refined overall, and being IDI (Indirect Injection) low tech is a plus in my book.

Which is an Onan designed diesel engine, that Cummins got when they bought Onan, so now it's called a Cummins.

The only question I have between the 494C and the 454C is the 454C seems to list a higher hydraulic flow. Almost 2 gal a minute.
While lift capacity at 24" is only 112 lbs. different.

Lift capacity has nothing to do with hydraulic flow...

Larger flow makes things happen faster.

Sorry, I am well aware they do not affect one another.

I am still weighing options.
And was simply pointing out some minor differences I had noted.
