which welder of these 2

would like to consider getting a tig welder in future cant aford the best so i think maybe it narrowed down to a couple brands.
want ability to do alum. which i would need ac/dc right which i think prices start around 800.00
would you buy a alpha tig200?
or
a everlast powertig 185dv?

and why
seems alpha gets a little better reviews

I'd suggest the PowerTIG 200DV. That beats them both with a nicer set of features and all you'll probably ever need. Yes it is more, but a solid unit.

Both are from our company. But I am partial to the green units

i appreciate your info, and i was expecting alot of green responses!!and did look at that unit also was just trying not to go so high esp since and cant really justify it lol. but was expecting a little more response from some fellas on hear

I'm happy with my Miller Maxstar 200dx. I wouldnt want any smaller than a 200 for my uses. Happy with my newer Everlast plasma, a 60 something. Thought about selling the Maxstar to get an AC/DC unit to do aluminum, but the need isnt quite there yet. Also thinking about MIG at some point. Everlast isnt the quality of Miller, but its close & a lot cheaper. Plenty for tinkering in my shop so Everlest is on my short list for a new machine if it comes to it.
