White 2-60 questions- cross post

I wasn't getting any response in the Ag forum so here goes;
I'm buying a White 2-60 4wd tractor and plan to do complete fluid changes at the outset. I picked up an operator's manual and it calls for 10w30 motor oil instead of 15w40 as I would have expected for diesel like my compact uses, does this jive?
It seems the transmission/hydraulics, power steering, final drives, differentials ect call for universal hydraulic, can I use the bulk stuff that Tractor Supply sells for all of this?
Thanks for any advice on this or this model in general, I'm likely to have more questions as I get into this.

If it were mine, I'd have no second thoughts about running 15w-40. Use a good oil and don't worry.

I'd have no problem running the TSC hydro oil either.

TCS did have the best price by far on the hydro and oil, do you run their premium or the "303" in the yellow bucket?
Tractor Data says the White 2-60 is "similar" to the Fiat 604 and another source said it was built by Fiat, can anyone tell me if they are actually the same machine?

White 2-60, Oliver 1365, and Fiat 640 where all produced by Fiat during the 1970's. The bulk of the parts on these tractors will probably all interchange, but not everything. The sheet metal on the White is a bit different, but not by much. The electrical options and wiring may not be an exact match but all three are pretty much the same machine.

Some of the whites, at least here in Canada had a Perkins engine vs the fiat. Had a 1265 and it was a pice of junk, do you research before committing to buying.

Anyone have a favorite online part source for these tractors?
Is the TCS "RENEW" hydraulic fluid worth the step up in price over the premium?
