White caterpillars mean anything?

Hi,

Maybe I'm just not observant...[ yea I know I can't spell either]...but this year I see white caterpillars around and don't remember ever seeing them before.

These ones are mostly white with a black stripe on each side down near the legs.

SNOW was the image that popped into my mind.

Is a white catepillar a sign of a white winter coming...or just a sign that I need my head examined for even thinking about this? /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I can't answer your question, but I would like add that I saw one of those white catepillers in central MD on Sunday. I don't know what it means, but at least we are getting the same thing your are. I just hope some type of precipetation is involved; we need the water.
