White Tail Deer - Fact or fiction???

So... I grew up hunting Black Tail Deer in Oregon, and white tail's are different... :deer:

I've heard a rumor that there is a difference in white tail males & females scat...

Personally I find that hard to fathom... but... is there any truth to this old wives TALE about white tails? If so, what is the truth of the matter?

Inquiring minds want to know...

I've hunted white tails for 40 years...."cleaned out" bucks and does, the "excriment" is the same.

I think that just like hoof prints: it's big must be a buck, look at that doclaw and wide spacing about 4 1/2 yr old with drop tines and palmatted main beams and a split g2 on the left side. Yep been hunting him for 8 yrs and got him patterned by the summer solstice and a raccoon informant. It makes us feel good and wait 15 more minutes in the stand.

It is especially true for white tails but black tails n mulies also David! It is especially so during the rut! The does feces is just rotten with excess estrogen, that's what kicks off the rut. The bucks then become crazed testosterone filled animals soon followed by heavy increase in testosterone in the bucks feces (probably because of all the gay white tail deer) With time you will be able to tell just sample all that you find and soon you will be able to taste the difference:licking:
