Who has purphased Turf Tires

Was working on my JD 870 Compact today and noticed the right front tire had a split inner sidewall from age. This is a 1997 and I'm assuming they are original but not 100% sure but old none the less. The rear tires are also showing their age with hairline cracks in the sidewalls and tread area.

Once again weæ±*e tough to find Bridgestone tires an oldie but goodie.
When youæ±*e searching for 355/80D20 Bridgestone Pilla Dia turf tires usually found
on Kubota tractors, you may find yourself scratching your head. First of all, many tire dealers
won稚 know what youæ±*e talking about and have never heard of the size. Second, the tire is close to
becoming obsolete. So rather than searching for a 渡eedle in a haystack try this alternative:
41x1400x20 4 ply Titan Multi Trac C/S turf tire

Did some Googling and now that I'm over the sticker shock it's time to locate some tires. Front tires are about $98 each and the rears are $1000 each OUCH.

Anyone bought a set of Turf Tires and what brand did you buy?

If I didn't know better I would say the below tries were off my tractor, same condition.

Dennis you may need new front tires but my last tractor had cracks in the for the last 10 years I owned it and never had a flat. In 23 years I replaced the front ones twice with Titan ( Good Year).

Thanks Bill, I have been thinking the same about the rears, I think for now I will just replace the front.

So after searching all over the internet the best deal on a Carlisle Multi Trac C/S 25X8.50-14 tire is Walmart $93.00 w/ in-store pickup. Everyone else wanted $116-$144 plus shipping.

I purchased my 1981 IH 584 in 1995,, all 4 tires were showing cracking the day the tractor came home.

20 years later,, and after LOTS of heavy loader work,,, the tires were still being used,,, and looked like this,

Shortly after that pic was taken, one of the front tires finally failed,, sitting in the shed.
I replaced the front tires.
Last year, a guy had a pair of the rear tires on CL,, brand new mounted on wheels,, CHEAP!!

I figured why wait for a 20" snowstorm for one of the rears to fail,,,

Now, I am rolling on new tires,,, but, over 20 years after I first considered buying tires.

Oh, yea,,, I put my old rear tires on CL,,, 4 days later the tires/wheels sold. :thumbsup:

I wouldn't put tires on equipment for cracks alone. Chances are they'll last until the tread is gone.

The cracks are just in the rubber, not in the plys.
