The national debt is now too large to ever pay off. It will be controlled into the future with inflation to diminish its relative size and by keeping interest rates artificially low so the debt can be serviced as a smaller percentage of tax collections. China holds about a trillion in our debt. Should the US sue China in world courts and win for exposing us to the CD19, the government could seize the debt and not repay it. However, I think that is very unlikely. We depend too much on China produced products. We have no one to blame but ourselves. The US government is run by 512 people that we elect to run it. Worrisome times.
