Who makes a decent strong lawn tractor cart?

In the market this weekend for a strong steel cart for the lawn tractor (roper 16t). Reading the reviews on all of them, they all seem to have comments like 'this one is so cheap and flexible the tailgate falls off' or 'this thing flexes so much it self-dumps every time it hits a bump'. Seriously, are any of them any good? My dad had one years ago that sat low - the wheels were on the outside of the box not under it. The box sat on the axle. It never dumped unexpectedly.

Are any like that anymore?

I have a sears lawn tractor cart that has a dump lever on it that can be reached from the seat...I have had it for 15 yrs...it is a great trailer...I am just now getting ready to buy 2 new tires for it..just because of aging cracks but the trailer has held up hauling logs, mixing cement, mulch, branches, rocks...etc.

Look into a cart made by Polar. Steel frame with big floation tires and it dumps nicely when wanted. Has a poly bed....and it will not bend or crack. I bought two of 'em. ONe for my deer property and one for my home. Best garden tractor trailer ever.....IMO.

You are right, they dont make em anymore. I liked the one my dad has. a MF lawn dump trailer that he got with the lawn tractor in late 70's. He is still using it. It's heavy metal and sits low and right on the axle. We abused that thing and its still going. The only thing we did is replace the tires several times and changed bushing once or twice. If I had the time, I'd copy the design exactly.
