Who paints new John Deere CUTs ?

Does Yanmar paint these green and yellow in their own factory and then ship them over, or does JD paint/decal them once they arrive?

Yanmar makes the engines in some models, not the tractors. They also make engines for boats and industrial applications. The tractors are made by John Deere. One plant is in Georgia...I am sure someone here knows which models are made there.

The Grovetown, Ga. plant makes the 4000 and 5000 series tractors with John Deere engines under the hood. The 4000, 20 series turbo units are US, the 4000 10 series are Yanmar powered.

I'm pretty sure Yanmar makes the whole tractor for the 790 /990. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would need to see proof of it.

I always thought the 3000 series and smaller CUT's were manufactured by Yanmar and then shipped to the US in "kit" form. The assembly of the kit would be done somewhere in the US, but all the parts would have come (and the painting would have been done) from Yanmar.

Is that not correct?

That's exactly what a JD dealer told me when I was looking at JD..

I watched these being assembled in the Augusta Plant - The tour of that plant is interesting ... they assemble 2000-thru 5000 series as well as the 110 ... and the 790 ... (edit: plus the export models)
