Good luck on the backhoe decision making process.
I thoroughly enjoy the BH90 hoe on my L3430. I used it for all kinds of landscaping assistance on our new (to us) property this summer. I don't think I would have bought it for our fairly well developed 5 acre home site but since I also have timber property (lots of stumps, drainage ditching needed, etc.) I can justify it (maybe).
It sure was useful to have as we needed to quickly develop new planting areas and flower beds for 340 one gallon pots of perennials my wife brought from our previous place. I can't imagine what it would have been like to have hand transplanted all of those plants into our dry cement-like Willamette Valley clay soil in August and September /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. The backhoe is just a giggle to use...the fun factor has already justified about 1/3 of the investment /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. At that rate it will be "paid" for in two more years! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif:
