Who sells this PTO shield plastic screw? (photo)

Who sells this PTO shield plastic 'screw'? It's actually a quarter-turn lock device.

Its on a Howse rotary mower from about 2004 but the PTO shaft and shield are from some other supplier. Howse can't provide the screw. I saw these in TSC or someplace but I can't find this screw anywhere now. Does anybody sell this?

To track down something like this we need to know who made the PTO shaft cover. Maybe Magdelena? or Eurocardin? Weasler? someone else? Howse sure did not make it, that much you already knew, but until the supplier can be tracked down, and then concentrate on their catalogs, or call a dealer of that product, you have no where to start. Most PTO shafts are made overseas. Italy, Spain, and China.

Look for the screw AND the bearing it is attached to. That's the only way I have seen them offered. Bush Hog does or did offer that style shield and components. Not sure if the shaft was the same series.

After staring at it from all sides the shaft and shield seem to be no-name generic stuff. No trademarks anywhere.

I'll start looking for Bush Hog diagrams.

I'll look around later today, too. Start with 280 series and SQ160/SQ172 rotary cutters.

ACE Hardware has nylon screws (plastic). I also buy them at the hobby shops. I use them on my RC planes.

That shaft & shield was manufactured by Binacchi. Bush Hog did use them. The ATH720 finish mower catalog has a Binacchi PTO shaft option and lists good Bush Hog part numbers for inner and outer shaft shield bearings. The line art is lousy, and the description does not specify if it is the proper style, but it may well be. If your driveshaft is a series 4 (very likely) a Bush Hog dealer parts guy should be able to figure out if these bearings are what you need.
