Wholesale plant/shrub nurseries in Ohio.

Anyone know of any large plant/shrub nurseries in Ohio that sell wholesale ???

I have found that nurseries in general are not to inclined to sell to the public at wholesale prices. If you want to buy from the nursery at wholesale prices, then you must look and act the part of a landscaper. You can start at Staples by having some "bogus" landscape business cards printed. They will get you in the door, but you best be a little knowledgeable about plants because they will figure out the ruse quickly if you are not. A pick up truck with a magnetic sign will also help, along with a few garden tools and dirt in the bed. I went to Miami Nursery some 15 years ago, as a relative novice (and that was more than apparent), but prepared to buy several hundred plants and spend several hundred dollars. Seems the money spoke more loudly than my ignorance. I am sure had I wanted to buy a dozen shrubs I would not have gotten a wholesale price.

Here's one you could check. It is a litle closer to the Ohio WV border. Holiday Tree Farm is close to Veto Ohio on Rt. 3. Take 3 west at veto and you'll run into it. They have pretty good prices on tress and shrubs. I have not tried to buy from them wholesale though.
Or you could take a drive through Meigs county (Racine / Pomeroy areas). You'll see hords of greenhouses. They sell plants and smaller shrubs wholesale. The prices are at wholesale and anyone can buy them. This is where the plants for sale at flea markets and sold on the side of the road come from.
