I stared at the photo for a while trying to figure out what happened. Obviously, the unit just tipped over (ie, didn't roll all the way) since cab-top lights aren't smashed. Also, it doesn't look like he was actively mowing when it went over. I think he turned left off the road to go up the hill (there appears to be a bit of a track up there), but turned too soon and hit the hump by the abutment, tried to catch it by turning right, but just settled over on the side.
Alternatively, he was backing down from the top and managed to steer too far onto the steeper slope on the left.
All hypothesis, though.

Must've really been flying to leave the roadway and roll that far uphill.

I wonder if the hospital performed the "pucker removal procedure" before he was discharged.
