Will be starting to look in the next couple of days. Weather has been pretty foul here in NE Ohio, but the May Apples are up, and its starting to look like spring has sprung.

I went out to a favorite spot this AM and found 7. Not so big but clearly early grays. Now a nice rain and 70+ deg day and we'll be in the thick of it. Last year a renter near by saw me out. When I came back a few days later, I saw him again and he said there was no need to look He'd beat me to it. : ( He lived there so he was always ahead of the game. Luckily he has moved on.

About 50 miles east of you and nothing here yet. We normally run a week or more behind the western areas. I suspect it is the wet, cold clay that goes for soil around here.

Just checked with an avid mushroom hunter who sells her excess to grocery stores. She reported not finding anything N of Blmgtn but some friends finding a few big ones S of town, which she attributes to isotherms drifting north, hopefully any day now.

I haven't found any yet but I talked with some friends who have. Hopefully I can find some time to go out this weekend. Here in north central Indiana.

Found a small one last week just working around the place...found two of the biggest ones I've ever seen today...!

Found 50 tiny greys in 1 spot in South Central Iowa this AM.
