Who's made a claim on their kubota insurance?

When I bought my most recent Kubota the dealer told me that while their insurance is very good, and covers about anything on or off your property, it is not available unless the machine is currently financed by Kubota. Once it's paid off the insurance is cancelled. I would be interested in hearing that this is not correct. It's practically impossible to find insurance that covers a non commercial use tractor off the owner's property.

That is exactly what my dealer said as well. If financed through Kubota must get insurance to cover life of the loan. After that it is done and can't be renewed once loan is fully paid.

Not true. My B3200 was financed thru Kubota and has been paid off 2 years.
Not only did I reinsure the last 2 years with Kubota, they contacted me near the end of the coverage periods to remind me that it was time to renew.
Great folks to deal with.

My experience was like kmassing. I had an interest free Kubota loan on my first tractor (BX2660) with KTAC insurance. After the loan was paid off, KTAC reminded me to renew the coverage, which I did for awhile....but don't anymore...don't feel the need for it.

You are required to insure any vehicle while it's being financed. Tractors are no exception. Finance companies understandably don't want to get screwed on their investment.

Interestingly enough, I have KTAC on my Kioti. I have renewed it also. I was told by them when I enquired about getting it on my Kioti, that they would cover it, but only because I was a former KTAC customer when I had loans on my previous Kubota machine.

To answer the original question, even though it seems his troubles are over.

I've made one claim and it was as simple as a phone call to KTAC and later I took the tractor for the parts man to make a list of what it needed. That was it, sort of.

The parts man didn't order exactly every little part I needed and turned it in to Kubota before the work was done. The dealer ended up having to eat a few odds and ends parts. There were some hard feelings at the dealership over the whole thing but not towards me and not towards Kubota.

When my loan was done with kubota and my tac ended, they contacted me to keep it. Good insurance but it was more expensive than nationwide that I use for all my other stuff.

They might not actually fix stupid, but they pay to have fixed the stuff that stupid can tear up.
