We got hit pretty bad in Edmond (suburb on north side of OKC), we just got power back on last night. We were out since Sunday night. Tuesday we got a generator, I had been planning to get one for a while and this was the final kick in the pants I needed. I need to put in a transfer switch ultimately, but I backfeed it thru my welder outlet. I did pull my main disconnect, which lifts both hots, and then I lifted the neutral too. I wanted to make sure that the line workers did not get even the stray voltage that might have been on the neutral. All and all it worked well, ran our furnace, and well pump, but the computer was not happy, but that is okay. The tree's are really messed up, but my parent house was worse, they are about 15 miles east of us (not to far from the round red barn on route 66), I went over there and cleared their drive. My dad is 76 and finnaly let me come out and help, it was just to much for him. Next time I will just go out and help and not ask, my mom was so happy to see me. There still is a ton of people with out power thu.
Stay worm, Dave
