Sid,Having just purchased a DK40 myself I can say that after almost 50 hours it has been a great tractor and has given me no problems.
Wether it is better than any other tractor is dependent on what the purchaser needs and what any given manufacturer can provide.
What Kioti gave me was a rugged and well built machine for a lot less money than the big three.
What it didn't give me was hydrostatic(didn't want it anyway),a huge dealer network and instant brand recognition.
Having said that, I stand by my decision to go with Kioti. No matter how I tried I could not see where the other brands were $5,000 better than my tractor..........Mike

Sid,
We have been a Kioti dealer here in Texas for several years now and Kioti has proven itself to be a great little tractor.
If you get a Kioti tractor with a FEL try and stay with the Kioti brand loader, it was designed spacifically for that tractor, is a great loader anyway, and if you decide to ever trade it off the tractor will bring better resale than a tractor with an aftermarket loader all other things being equal.
The only troubles we have much is with the nick-nack stuff like turnsignals.....ect.
I do not think we have ever been into one for warranty work due to tractor failure, operator abuse a couple of times though.
You can tear up an army tank if a person tries hard enough.
JMHO,
K

Hi Sid, I have a DK35 with 182 hours of hard work with no problems to speak of. I say to speak of because the seat cracked and was replaced under warranty. This tractor starts at any temp instantanously and that's in the winter without a block heater. I have used the loader to fix leaks in a pond dam where I was really loading up the loader with mud. The girl didn't even grunt. I have fluid in the rears so the girl didn't even feel light with the loader full of mud. I brus hog about 50 acres of grass/spaplings with about 10 of that being heavy saplings up to 2" diameter with no problems. Most the time I'm in hi first. I paid $15800 for it with the Kioti loader. I agree with getting the Kioti loader over the others because of the resale but the others are just as good from what I've heard. Good luck and hope this answers some of your questions.
