That house looks kinda familiar....what part of E. TN is it in?

I was in Delft once. Lots of canals. An open ditch lined with rock can look real nice, with a bridge and such. Maybe you can make yourself a "water feature"?

What I can't figure out is where you'll be digging the ditches TO. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

From the pictures, it looks like everything that's dry is up hill!

Best of luck.

Instead of digging all these ditches making a mess and making your property look ugly, dig a retaining pond. Dig something large so you don't have all these ditches everywhere.

I live in Limestone, TN between Greenville and Johnson City. I called them ditches; however, they will be more like french drains. To answer where will I run the water. I have 2 choices, run pipe to the creek with a baffle on the end to stop high creek water from coming in. I am leaning more to french drains to several sump pumps, then pump it to the creek. BTW, this water was completely gone before the next day because of 2 sump pumps running. I think if I have 1 more, maybe 2, then the water will not have a chance to get to this depth again. Also raise the creek bank where you can see the water come across.
