When I go to log on every time I get my user name typed in,... then I get the tbn sign up pop up. I have to close it out to get back to the place I started so I can enter my pass word? It is kind of a pain really. Is there a way to get rid of this pop up thing ? Bty happy new year all. Jeff

When you log in, click the box that says "remember me." That should do it.

Doesn't work if you close your browser, and your browser options are set to delete all browsing history and cookies when it closes. That's the way most folks who are concerned with privacy issues have their browser set up.

That used to happen to me. Win-Vista w/Firefox set up to delete cookies and history when closed. IIRC what happened was with how I had bookmarked the page or something before filling u/name and clicking 'remember me'. Settings are the same now but somewhere along the way, while refreshing bookmarks, I had deleted the earlier and replaced it after typing in my log-in info.

Now I'm logged in automatically when clicking the bookmark and landing on TBN's homepage. Somehow Win's 'remember me' isn't thwarted by the browser's deleting of cookies/history. I suppose I bookmarked the page a few times extra & finally kept the one that got me there ... trial and error, but easily done. If I'm not sure exactly how that works I got results. :2cents:

I just bookmarked 'My Home', and it takes me straight there, still logged in. If I'm on another computer I have to log in though.

I have my browser set to delete cookies and history too.
When logging in, the pop-up is usually there before I finish putting in my user name. I just keep typing... user name "tab" password "enter", and even though you can't see what you are typing, it does get entered.

Yes the popup is very irritating, treats you like you are a total stranger and wipes out the first login attempt.

You can always try a program like "Dashlane" which stores log-on information, encrypted on your computer and provides for near automatic log-on to any site. It also generates strong passwords that you don't have to worry about remembering. The basic program is free, with add-ons if you so choose.
