Those darn Craiglist bargains is why

There was an ad for a guy selling 4 John Deere planters for $100 total. Didn't know much about them but said I could stop by and take a look. Next thing you know I am driving off with two 70's and two 71's :D Only two were mounted up and all had been sitting in the weeds for a while. Two for sure are going to need some work but then.... shop's empty after I finished my row hipper project, why not a 'good winter project'?

A pics after I got them home and off the truck:

Even came with a hitch setup big enough for a two row. and piece of bar big enough to make a one row :) Too bad I don't even need planters for my size garden.... One of the 70's does have a broken cast piece on the clamp which I didn't notice until I had gotten it home. Had been repaired before... anybody have a 'donor' or 'parts' 70? ;)

If you keep your shop w/the busy look, there's a darn good chance no one else will mess/storeage it up. :)
