I have projects planned for the spring that barring me picking up a backhoe really could use a tooth bar. I've been really pleased with EA's box blade and back blade so that weighed a lot in which one to get. I really don't think it took me more than an hour start to finish. Drilling the holes was the most time consuming part. The mother was heavier than I expected - for someone 74 anyway.
I marked out the centers of the inside slot and used a punch to set a starting point for my drill. I 1st drilled a 1/8" hole followed by a 1/4" then used a varibit to take it out to 3/4". The only 'clever' thing I did, to ensure the bar was seated as far as it could go on the bucket lip, was to snug the bolts then rotate the bucket so the edge was pointed down. Then the bucket was lowered onto a couple of 2X3's placed near the outer edges. I raised the tractor an inch in this way to put as much pressure as possible on the bar. Then tightened as well as I could before putting the bucket back to a raised position. Then tightened the **** out of those 3/4" bolts. The bar is as far back as it can go
First check the fit - pretty perfect
Drill the pilot holes

The little Dewalt did great

It's hard to believe it fit

Even the other side

Forcing the bar back as far as possible
