Wico Magneto

I have a Gravely LI walk behind tractor with a Wico magneto that isn't firing much. It appears to have very weak spark intermittently. The points appear to be in good shape, but I don't know of a way to check the condenser. Would a bad coil work at all?

I don't know for sure, but some bad coils work intermittently - ie until they get hot. (just happened to my husqy trimmer)

Do you know of a source for new points and condenser btw? I need them for my L1

Condensers go bad quite often. Never saw a coil go bad unless it was underwater for a while. Take the magneto off the tractor (2 cap screws underneath) and put it on the bench to replace points and condenser. Should take under an hour from start to finish.
