4110 Mahindra
I bought my used Mahindra 4110 with the wheels set to their widest point. The front wheels are actually installed "inside-out" and the rears are turned out as far as possible.
My question here is, over the long haul will this be extremely hard on the axles and bearings. I know on vehicles when adding aftermarket wheels, I was always told to try to get the same offset as the orginal wheels because if the wheels are mounted further out it puts excess strain on the bearings, axles, etc... Don't know if any of you have any experience with this, if you do let me know if this is bad or OK. I know I really like having the added stability of having the wheels mounted the way they are. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Thanks in advance.

One difference between Cars/trucks etc.,and tractors is that tractors are designed to allow for the offset of their wheels . whereas trucks and cars aren't . I doubt that in the long term that a wide offset of wheels on a tractor will do any harm to bearings ,etc . (if it's done to the manufacterers specs )
The only change will be to stability . JMHO John

It shouldn't hurt the rears at all, they were designed for it. The front may be a different story. Check you manual for recommendations on the front. It will depend on how the front axle was designed.

If you don't have a loader no problem,if you do have a loader i would recomend the front wheels be turned in. the back as they say are diesigned to take it. loaders put alot of stress on the front axle expecaly if it hits the limits of ossalation one wheel takes the load.

The wheels were designed to be "dished in" or "dished out". You are not hurting anything by leaving them that way. Even with a loader, the front ends are designed for being widened. Don't use the loader for a bulldozer and you will be fine.

Yep.. tractors generally.. unless otherwise stated.. can have many ways to space the tires.. either power adjust rims... or multi position rims.. turning them out or dishing them.. etc. Some are setup for dual rears using spacers.. etc. Fronts are similar, depending on the front axle... 2wd units usually have wings to set out.. and you may or may not be able to dish the rims.
