I will be using the tractor in some hilly areas.
Looked at the Kubota 2620, looked like it may tip over in the parking lot.
So far the CUB Yanmar 3200 is widest at 59".
any thing with a wider, lower stance ?

Thanks,

Maybe look at Massey, and Montana. Not sure how wide the tractors are, but their buckets on some of them are 66". Should be wider than the others that you looked at. Massey would be 1533 & 1540. Montana's, all the R series I think, R2844, R3644, R4344, and R4944. Hope that this can help you.

Don't forget the PowerTracs if you are on hilly ground. Another consideration is to add wheel spacers to a CUT.

I second the vote to look at tractors that are lower and bend in the middle, like PowerTrac. Saw it or one similar, with a diesel engine (think about 30 hp) at our local Piedmont Power Equipment place one day. It had a FEL and 3 ph, very low to the ground.

My 4010, which is probably typical of the 4000 series, is 48" wide at the outside of the rear tires. It makes you kinda queasy going across hills. You do it slowly.

My Gravely was not tippy, but it plain didn't have enough traction, even with dual tires.

So far, it looks to me like the Mahindra's are the widest, though the JD 3000 series with ag tires set wide could win. They are a bit tall though. The 26hp+ Mahindra's are around 60". Though the 20hp Mahindra is not that wide, it has a very solid stance, and feels stable when operaing, partly because it is heavy for it's size.

Not sure width is the only factor to consider. I thought the Kioti CK's seemed less tippy than the JD3x20's, but I don't know if it's due to width or how high the CG is, or realistically, how high you sit.

Wheel spacers are apparantly expensive, I think I was told around $600 for the JD in another thread.

Custom made wheel spacers are that expensive. I heard that Kubota makes wheel spacers for some models that are much less and have always wondered if the ones I believe are made for the B3030 would also fit comparably sized Kioti's. There was a thread about the B3030 and wheel spacers a year or so ago. I have never confirmed it but somewhere along the line I also heard that Kubota and Kioti have the same bolt pattern/measurements so they should be interchangable.

Stopped by a deere dealer,
the 790 looked really good, but only available in gear model.
Is the Cub 3200 a 790 with hydro.

I thought the widest was the Bransons.

If a tractor has a FEL that also changes the center of gravity, having a loader on a side hill will make any tractor feel tippy. Adding weight low down, like fluid in the tires helps and so does a rear implement with the weight down low.
