will 4610 MMM fit 4310 w/ minor mods?

The linkages/hardware that attach the deck to the tractor will be different as well. I would take some searching but JDParts would have the answer.

Yes, it will fit. You will need the attachment hardware for the 4310 but the deck is the same. I have a 4510-4710 mower deck on my 4310. I bought the tractor with a 60" mower and "needed" the 72. I bought a demo mower from a local dealer with no attachment hardware and have had no problems. The front draft arms are shorter for the 4310 Vs the 4510-4710. Feel free to ask any other questions!!!
Edit: After looking @ your pics, My 72" deck looks like the 1st pic. I have different lift rods on the back edge. The 60" deck was a 7 iron and the 72 looks like the 1st picture.

Kennyd, I have searched online parts. the deck part # are different, but how different is the question. I already have the attaching hardware/linkage (draft arms, etc..), they came with my MMM kit.
mfreund, thanks. You didn't have to modify any of the connection points? From the pictures it looks like the yoke connection point on the deck (this is where the deck connects to the rockshaft lift arms) is taller on the 4610 decks. Since the yokes are adjustable, maybe this doesn't matter. Did the driveshaft work on the 4310? the part numbers are different in the parts book.
