Actually I had that question with a different size tractor with a different sized door and I had a dealer offer to bring the tractor by so I could see in person if it would or if it wouldn't. While it was here I had a chance to test it on MY terms at my property. It worked out well enough that I just had him leave it. I called the other dealer back and told him to not bother getting me that measurement. He never asked why, and he obviously never got the sale.
Even though I know that it's a sales tactic of sorts (an actual customer who is really considering a tractor - or car - usually takes mental ownership when it's at their property in their garage), I appreciated the move and it made the purchase easy. I can't say whether the dealer's service would be great or not because I've never had a reason to have my tractor back at the dealership.
