They are both CAT 1 so it should fit up.

The 8n was about 10HP more at the PTO and about 600 lbs heavier of a machine. Lots of people used 5' cutters with the 8n's. IF thats what you got, yea it will hitch up no problem. But may struggle running it.

I had the engine rebuilt on my 8n a few years ago....I am just amazed at the power the machine has. When the engine is not tired they are pretty powerful machines.

As LD1 said. the average N totes a 5' hog pretty well.

It may fit, but it is a foot too wide for that machine. You will have to take small bites.
