Front-End Loader Will clamp on tools damage the lower edge of a LS G3033H loader?

I am making the transition from the traditional lawn tractor to a new LS G3033H, which will soon be delivered. YES, I am a "rookie" tractor owner and I have much to learn. I have been reading about the variety of tools that will clamp onto a loader. Specifically, I'm interested in the Quick Attach Spade sold by BUCKET SOLUTIONS - $389 w/free shipping. I'm concerned about damaging the lower edge of the loader to which such a tool would be clamped. I spoke with the salesman where I bought the LS and he agreed that my concern was a legitimate one. I have no intention of purchasing a heavier duty tool, as I cannot justify the expense for the use that I would give it. I'd like to see the opinions of all compact tractor users about such "clamp on" tools.

You definitely CAN bend the bottom of the bucket. I've done it while using the loader to help take a tree down in a certain direction. For $389, I'd opt for a "stump bucket" instead. The cost will be somewhat similar. Make sure you opt for the Skid-Steer quick attach setup for your loader/bucket (the LS might come with it stock). They you will have all manner of attachments that will quickly lock into place on your loader.

Get a SSQA for the loader if you can. It makes it so easy to swap compliments up front. I haven't had any issues mounting a quick spade to my pallet forks, & reforms make for much better visibility on what you are doing up there.

That's the front "skid steer quick attach" that I had mentioned. LS usually comes stock with them

Ahhh ... THANKS TSO! Now I'm with you & will speak to the dealer about it during the pre-delivery training. SOOO much to learn ... and I appreciate the patience that is evident on this forum.

SkidSteer Quick Attach, the standard for quick attach impliments on skid steers & many tractors. Invented by Bobcat & they call their implimentation Bob-tach. I can change from bucket to pallet forks in under 2 minutes, including backing away from the bucket after I drop it & moving over to the forks. Other non SSQA systems usually involve pins, a hammer & lots of cursing to change.

I'd suggest just reading through the forums a bit, lots of good information around. You'll have to figure out some of the names & terms a bit to be able to effectively search. Also, use the Google Custom Search feature up at the top, not the other search function built into the forum software, Google will give WAY better results.
