Will Ford go under financially ?

Ford has been taking some heavy hits financially,the worst of the big 3.
I read that they mortgaged everything to stay afloat and they are still hemoraging money. I wonder how long it will be before or if they can turn the business around ?

Maybe they'll have to resussitate Lee Iacocca??? Make a few K cars?? Maybe call them F cars. For Ford of course.

It won't be "the govt" bailing them out, it will be you and me bailing them out via our taxes. Anytime someone uses the phrase 'govt', think "my neighbors". When someone proposes a new 'govt paid' program/benefit, think about going door to door asking your neighbors, "I cant afford 'fill in the blank', could you give me some money?"

The CEO of Ford collected 28 Million for 3 months work...this was several months, up to a year ago. Made my blood boil when I read that.

Until management is willing to show leadership (remember, Iacocca worked for a dollar a year when he was at Chrysler...no matter what you thought of the man, that was leadership) and make the first sacrifices, I just have no sympathy for them at all.

Ford deserves to go broke for bringing in a complete know-nothing outsider (Mulaly) and paying him $28M in that length of time. Twenty eight bucks would have been too much until he's proven himself and Ford doesn't have the time or money to put someone in the CEO spot in an earn millions-while-you-learn role. You have to wonder if going broke isn't the GOAL of the Big 3. Chrysler hired the clown that Home Depot paid $210M to go away...I'll bet he really works some magic there.

I've had Ford vehicles my whole life but the sooner they go under the better. Maybe then some opportunist like Kirk Kevorkian will buy them for ten cents on the dollar and make some real improvements.

Everyone remembers Iacocca worked for $1 per year when he took over Chrysler, but no one remembers he was still being paid a huge severance package by Ford. In reality Ford was paying him to dig Chrysler out of the hole.
