The altitude where I live is 7500'. At 3% power loss per 1000' the 29 hp PTO is now 22ish hp then include the power loss for the hydro transmission and I'm down even more.
Another reason for a new tractor is after about 30secs with the snow blower I realized, I'm an American I shouldn't have to deal with snow blowing in my face. Screw this I'm getting a cabbed tractor. I crack myself up...LOL!
There are a few reasons I'm running the hydro blower
1. I maintain around a mile of road.
2. I only paid $1000 for it and it's like new.
3. I have a jacked up back and neck, hurts to turn around for to long. Yes that' me crying a little...
4. I still have to use my bucket and forks, it's easy to switch everything around. If you're asking why I don't have a front mounted PTO powered blower.
Hope this clears things up.
