Specs on the 60" KK tiller are 690lbs and 25-40hp. I know the JD 750 is "technically" too small but I've read many posts by others with smaller tractors running a tiller this size. I plan to eventually get a bigger tractor to run this tiller.

Thoughts?

Has anyone ever taken one set of tines off to make a tiller "easier" to run..... effectively making it "smaller"?

We run a 57 Frontier behind my 4110 in tight places. I would think you would be fine with your setup. You might not be able to go as fast as a 25HP tractor.

I would go for it. I would not remove tines as I don't think you will need to, and because they should be balanced.

Does your 4410 have any problems lifting the tiller? Do you know how much the Frontier weighs?

I think its 500 pounds. The specs show 2 numbers. 480 and 520.

It has no problem lifting it, and we use the Imatch.

I think as long as you're not tilling "virgin" dirt it'll be fine. my little 2305 pulls my 50" sitrex just fine in anything I have put it in, and I've put it in pretty hard packed clay.

I finally broke down and bought a brand spanking new KKII 60" tiller and my JD 750 runs it like a scalded dog!!!

Woooo Hooooo!!!

Works way better than a disk harrow because with a disk harrow you usually have to run over the area several times to get it completely broken up but with the tiller one trip is usually enough. The tiller is also much shorter than a disk so it and the tractor fit on my trailer much better with plenty of room to spare.

I can't wait to use it to plant some deer food plots!!!

Congratulation on the purchase. I got here too late to help!!!

I would always suggest buying the bigger implement, because you will always buy a bigger tractor not a smaller one:D You can even use it as the excuse!!

That's exactly what I did.

I knew that I would eventually get a bigger tractor so I bought the bigger tiller looking forward to that day.

If that little JD 750 keeps performing like it has been I'm not sure if I'll ever step up to a bigger tractor.

I drool over the new JD's with around 35hp, a front end loader and step through seating though!!!
