Tractor
Farmtrac 535
I was cutting a hay field and wound up nosing the front end into a 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 foot deep dry creek. I tried rocking it out in low range, then placed it in a higher gear in high range. The tractor allmost came out but died, it will not start back, will crank all day but not start. Is there a safety shutoff for fuel or something else on these models? The front bottom of the tractor is against the ground. Are there any wires that run on the front bottom that I may have pulled loose?

Check the fuel level... I had a gallon or so but since I was going up hill, under a load, she quit on me... filled it up, bleed the fuel line... good to go. Just something to check...

The fuel tank is half full and the tractor is not at a steep incline, however it does sound like it may not be getting fuel. When it cranks it just won't hit over. Where would I start at bleeding the fuel lines? Where is it located?

I don't know for the Farmtrac but look for a round dial/knob... follow the fuel line from the filter. Hopefully, someone else can jump in and answer this better... :ashamed::eek:

Still need more info. I'm guessing it's a diesel? Double check fuel shut-off. Then follow lines and make sure nothing got pinched or broken. Then open the line between tank and fuel filter to make sure there's flow there. Then move down stream from there checking for fuel flow. Then start all the bleeding procedures. I'm thinking when you had the tractor on a angle something came loose dirt rust leaves or something and got over the tank outlet hole and she's plugged. IF fuel is getting to engine you should see some grey smoke coming out the exhaust. IF no smoke, no fuel. OH yeah, if air cleaner is mounted in the front of engine like the Jinmas that could be full of water, engines like people need air to live. bjr

It is a diesel. Where is the fuel shutoff? The tank outlet hole? The tank outlet hole may be a possibility due to the fact that the front end is resting on the ground. Im trying to dig the front end out to to see.

So is the tractor still at an angle? Can you pull it out with a truck or another tractor (use chain, cable or use a come-a-long?). I would work on getting it on level ground... sounds like it's not...

PS. Gotta get a few photos of the tractor posted!!!!! could only help us, help you.

Normally when you shut it off do you do it with the key or a separate pull out knob.
If it is shut down with the key switch I would check for a disconnected or broken wire.
