I got it going guys Thank you.
Fuel solenoid was backed up.
Thanks!

Hi Guys, My JD 4700 will not even try to turn over.
Almost like my safety seat switch is stopping it. But its not that.
Lights come on when I turn the key, Glow plugs light. PTO light comes on when pull the knob.
But I thought when I push the button it should reset. All it was push in and come right back out to the same position.
Does anyone have any ideas? I would appreciate the help!

Thank you,
George

My dad has a John Deere 4100. Once last summer we were cleaning up some brush and it acted similar to yours. Drove us crazy for a bout an hour. An it turn out where the shifting for the hydrostatic transmission is, is where the trouble was. Follow the shifting lever down toward the transmission is and See if you don't have a couple of wires that plug into a little switch type deal. If that switch is bad or the wires came unhooked, the tractor won't start. Do not confuse. What I'm saying with the "pedal" that make the tractor go forward and backward. Now, if you have a clutch and gear transmission, alot of times they will put a "switch type deal" on or around the clutch pedal. The other potential issue is the pto. Most modern tractors have a switch type deal rigged up to the pto. I know it exists, but have never fooled around with one. I don't know how a 4700 compares to a 4100, but maybe this will get you headed in the right direction. The only think I can think of is your wiring connections right there at the starter or maybe the starter solenoid. Hope this helps.

I suddenly realized the owner edited his original post to say he fixed it.
