25 mph seems fine to me. The Ranger claims 40, but seems like you'd have to be on a flat straightaway to be comfortable at that speed. I'll take the solid build over the speed.Don't know about pulling the boat for a fact but it will if any Utility vehicle will. It's a workhorse that isn't fast for those that want something to do 45mph. I have one and like it alot. I don't want to go 45 MPH on a RTV. Should have bought it years ago.![]()

I'm hoping that the extra 900lbs of weight compared to the Ranger will help pull the boat up the ramp more easily.
thanks for the post, John.
What's the weight of the boat?.....I think my 1100 will pull 1300lbs by spec, but it seems to be able to handle more than that.
With the diff lock on and in 4x4, you should have enough traction.
Hmmm, finally found a web site with the weight of the boat -- which is 22' (not 26' as I erroneously mentioned above), and it says the "dry" weight is 2250ish... and I think "dry" means without motor or trailer, so if the towing capacity of the Kubota 1140 is only 1300 lbs, and I'd be pulling the boat & trailer up a boat ramp, it would probably be asking way too much... do you think?
Or do I misunderstand what "towing capacity" means?
