I am wanting to upgrade my loader cylinders on my 70A loader. I found these priced very reasonably...cheaper than anything at surplus center. $55 each plus shipping.

They have clevis ends. I have never seen these used on a loader before. Also, the pins are 1 inch and my loader usese 3/4 inch pins. I figure I could just weld in a bushing/crosstube into the clevis holes?

The dimensions are just about perfect except they are a larger bore

Also, how do I tell if the rebuild kits are "standard" I hear people talk about this from time to time.

Here are more specs

Where are you getting them from? I need one myself.

As long as the clevis ends are long enough to clear everything and the eye-to eye length and stroke is reasonably close they should be no problem. Our local farm supply store sells 1"-3/4" bushings (or make your own) so that isn't an issue either...other than possibly for allowing for lubricating. If you can weld, you can alter/fabricate these any way you want. You mention that they are larger bore than the OEM 70A cylinders which will both slow down cycle times and increase lifting power. You can calculate whether this is an issue easily enough Baum Hydraulics Corp :: Spec Calculator.

Don't know where your getting these but that's a great price. FYI: I have bought almost all of my hydraulics off ebay for the last 4-5 years and gotten great deals as well.....one of my favorite sellers is National Product Sales items - Get great deals on Industrial, Electronics items on eBay Stores! they require consistent watching but you can get incredible deals from them.

As Kernopelli says...the new larger bore cylinders will both slow down cycle times and increase lifting power. An increase in lifting power might sound great but the extra capacity comes with the risk that you might be able to exceed the load capabilities of your loader and damage it. Just a reminder... :)
