Adapt it so it will fit in your bucket, then you won't need to worry about rollback.

Seller just emailed additional photos and this attachment does have
the proper rollback angle design...good news.

The diagonal side supports are 1/2 by 1.

At a closer look it seems to be very well made-even the
pin holes look as if they were done on a Bridgeport.

Any idea as to a fair price to pay-should fit right onto my FEL.

Hey John,

So if this were a factory made implement and in good/moderate shape, I usually would offer the seller 40% of the new price. Being in CT implements often go for higher than my personal "rule"; sometime up to 70% but I would think more like 50% adjusted for CT prices. This line of thinking places an upward bound on what I'd pay for a home-built.

Being home-built, I would ask how much it weighs and offer essentially a buck a pound. This reflects the fact that if he bought the steel locally from leftovers and cut drops, he likely paid $1.00/lb (five years ago). His labor and materials when it was new would be X2 that. So if it weighed 125 lbs, the "new" price might be $250, so I would offer 50% of that or $125. Some guys here commented that it looked a little under-built so I would not go too much higher.

Picked up this attachment today. It's much nicer than
I thought from the photos and very well constructed.

The holes as follows. Bottom 2 holes are spaced 9.25" apart.
The next 2 holes are both spaced at 6". So, 9.25" to 2nd hole, and
15.5" to 3rd hole, and then 21.5" to the top hole.

Why there are 4 pin holes and what is the best way
to pin this to my FEL.

The former owner used the lowest hole and the 3rd hole up. The center to center
dimension for those holes is 15.5".

The c/c dimension of the bucket is 9.5.

Can I safely use my FEL with the pins spaced beyond
the bucket spacing of 9.5"?

If the pin holes are spaced right on your forks and you want to move it back, show a picture and I might be able to help make it easy for you. Now I said might.

Hi Leejohn-

I will get some photos posted asap.

I also need to adapt this new rock digger to the JD quick attach set up.
I see that I can buy the JD quick attach plates on ebay for $99. I will then need to
get the JD plates fastened to these pin on brackets.
