Finally got the last order from Discount Hydraulics, seems they were "semi" evacuated due to Sandy. Now, if I can get some of the "HoneyDo" crap off my back, maybe I can get this project started.
I was going to make the base plate/QD rear panel from a length of 1/4" x 10" steel flat bar, til I got to the steel place and found out that (from them, at least) plate is about half the cost of flat bar - sooo, since I have a Plasma cutter, I got a 2' x 4' pre-cut plate for the same price as 4' of 10 inch wide. Material for another project at no extra cost, works for me...
Another caveat if anybody cares - if you order a stacked valve, and don't realize that 90 degree fittings coming out of the work ports will probably need to be installed BEFORE you assemble the valve sections, you will either need to take the sections apart again (PITA) or buy adapters that SWIVEL to go between your 90's and the work ports since this particular valve has only a bit over 1 inch between sections.

Another - one of the instruction sets I found (NOT the one that came with the valves) tells you to torque the through-bolts with the valves assembled and laying FLAT, with a 0.300" SPACER (NOT included) placed under the 4th (non-existent) mounting hole - NOT doing this may BIND things so they don't work freely.
