Winch for GC Series Tractors

Searched the site, and came up empty for a winch on the GC series tractors.

I was cutting wood in my woods today, and there are several dead trees that are leaning on other trees that look too dangerous to cut down at the base. I tried to pull them over with chains on my GC1715, but lacked traction. I thought, if I had a decent winch on the tractor, I could pull those trees down with ease. What do YOU know?? :anyone:

If the tractor won't pull it down by itself, a winch on the tractor will just pull the tractor toward the tree, unless you anchor the tractor.

A single snatch block would double your tractor pull.

My woods is full of trees. I would just get behind another live tree and give 'er heck!

I would think a Fransgard 2800 winch or equivalent would work.

fx35 by wallentein, never used it but its rated for a smaller unit.

Both cat1 hitch both in the power rating of a GC, not sure how they work I think its a little too small.

Scut 4 big bucks, I’ve done quite a bit of research and that is my post above let me know if you have questions. I’ve used winches from jeeps to JD skidder 60k......just make sure you understand your needs and what a winch can and more importantly can’t do on a scut.

Thanks, fellas. After researching this a lot more, I might just need a few snatch blocks and some cable. I did find the "more power puller" on line also, but it's rather expensive for a hand cranker.
