Winch on Kubota 1140 UTV

In looking at the front of my 1140, the only place to mount a winch is on the silver bumper. The bumper is attached to the frame. My winch does not match the four mounting holes on the bumper but I can drill new ones. The space behind the bumper is to small to fit a winch in the space.

Any advice?

Did you get the mounting plate too? I put one on my RTV500 today and had to bolt the winch to the mounting plate, then the mounting plate holes fit the machine. However, my winch did fit in the space provided so you might have different situation.

We installed a winch on an rtv 1120 with proper mounting plate from dealer went on nicely.

I built a mount for the 2 inch hitch insert...thus can mount wench on either front or rear and dismount it when it isn't needed.

After reviewing everything I could find about the 1140CPX I will go with the 2 inch insert mount. I had bought the mounting plate for the 1140 and it fits inside the opening, but the winch would not fit in the same space. I think my 2013 version requires the external mount.
