It only took eleven months but I finally got my barn/shop dried in. Going to do the doors this weekend and then start on the windows. The building is red with white trim and doors, but my metal building supplier now only has aluminum (dull silver) and bronze in double pane and the wife is not super fond of either of those. They have white single pane, but that is almost like leaving a big hole in the wall. I am thinking about using standard side nailing strip style new construction windows from either Lowes or Home Depot and screwing them in from the outside with a top and bottom drip flash. Is this what most people do? This is the first metal building that I have done.

That's what I did. I had some good used Andersen casement windows. I framed in an opening with 2 x 6's in the pole framing and installed the windows normally. Then I trimmed with J-strips and a drip ledge and installed the metal normally.
