I used a poly half windshield on my Ranger (that I sold about four months ago). I originally bought the glass full windshield, which was nice but I recall it being $500-600, though I am going from memory. I traded it back and went with the poly half. I, in general, really like the half windshields. They essentially block almost all the air through the cabin but and not nearly as expensive as a full windshield. I also enjoyed the feeling of "being outside" a sense that the isolation of a full windshield does not provide. The Polaris one is really nice, it is solid, has rubber molding around the bottom which provides a good seal to the machine, easy to install, and is stout and does not flex. When I bought my new 825i, I went with the JD half windshield and was disappointed in it. It was flimsy and flexy and rattled on the hood when at more than 30 mph. It did not seal around the hood and leaked air making the cabin noisy. It was scratched when I got it. I ended up going with the JD full glass windshield with the wiper and it is more consistent with the Polaris product. As for the poly half windscreen on the Polaris, I would not recommend using glass cleaner. One can use poly specific cleaner (or computer screen cleaner which also works) but these are pricey and hard to find. I generally washed mine with soap and water when washing the machine and dried it with a microfiber towel which did not scratch it at all. For my money, unless you just have a love of a full windscreen, I would take a close look at the Polaris poly half due to cost and effectiveness for most folks. As a side note, I think the Gator I have now is a heavier and better-built UTV than my Ranger was, but I liked the Ranger accessories--such as the windscreen--much better.
