Went in to buy wiper inserts for my Chevrolet Pickup and learned the auto parts store no longer carries "Just" the inserts.

They have 5 different brands/grades of wiperblade with holders... some were $16 each.

My climate is on the dry side and looking for long lasting blades at a reasonable price.

Anyone have a preference?

Is there a superior blade worth the money?

I have tried several brands, & really haven't found that any 1 brand last longer than the other. I find The UV /heat usually kills the rubber ..I usually just buy the cheap ones and replace them about every 1 yr or so

I just bought and replaced my wipers with Bosch Clear Advantage blades from Amazon. They were around $11 each with free Amazon Prime shipping. They are much heavier than the blades they replaced and my wife says they work very well with no streaking at all. I have no idea how long they will last in the Texas summer sun which is similar to yours.

I've found the Michelin Steath Ultra Find a Store | MICHELIN Stealth Ultra to be the best ones I've ever used. Got well over a year, in fact the only reason I changed it was that I didn't want to take a chance in the winter of a blade falling off or tearing. They don't smear, and you don't have to flood the windshield to get a good clean....Mike

I have found replacing cheap ones more often is more effective than buying the expensive ones and trying to get a lot of time out of them.

Anco from Walmart. They're easy to install and have used the same part numbers for years.

I just replaced all mine before the last snowstorm. This winter wrecked 2 out 3 wiper blades rubber ripped. Its a wear item for sure. Went with Michelin traditional. Flimsy looking but work fine. Do like the Stealths with the all weather covers a lot (that's what was on my Dodge when I bought it used) but the price on those is just about double. Wally World Super Tech's were a buck less than the ones I bought.

I have had good service from these with my Silverado and Suburban. About $12.50 ea. on Amazon. Micro Edge Wiper Blades
I too purchase Bosch wiper blades and find they are in the middle on price along with great quality.

A few things to observe here, I don't run my wipers any faster than needed. Minimum speed. I let rain build up on my windshield before using them at all. What kills wiper blades the fastest in my experience? Running them dry!! I Hate when it's sprinkling out and everyone is running their wiper blades at max speed like maniacs !

I also use good washer fluid! Helps with summer grime and winter ice! Usually rain x summer, and rain X winter de-icer. If you have never tried rain X it is the true deal with the water beading technology. I only use my wipers half as much as I used to no joke!!! The water slides off my windshield without using the wipers at all
