I have forks for the tractor so loading and unloading is easy. I treat all my fuel with PS white and gray (gray has a fuel stabilizer in it) and unlike gas i don't think 1 year is going to make that much of a difference. On my pump i have a filter and water separator so water is not a problem. I just like the convince of having fuel ready whenever i need it and not having to deal with those new style plastic 5 gal cans with the no spill spouts. Thanks for all the input, i think i may just fill up half way for now and then fill it up in the spring. Thanks again!

I'd prefer fresh fuel, but keep about 20 gallons in jerry cans just in case some sheet hits the fan and some emergency fuel situation occurs. Is there some product that can be added to negate the condensation build up? I've already added a cetane booster (anti-gel) to my four jerry can reserve.

Winterized diesel is a combination of #1 and #2 diesel. The portion of each that they put in depends upon how cold they expect it to get. If it gets real cold where you live, it will have a lot of #1.
#1 has less energy per gallon and costs more than #2. It also has less lubrication than #2 without a lubricating additive, thus is harder on your engine. If I were you, just from an economic point of view, I would only put in your tank as much winter blend as you need for the winter and fill up your tank when you don't need the blended fuel.
In my own case I buy my diesel 5 gallons at a time. My tractor seems to use about a gallon an hour. Because it can get real cold where I live in the winter, I run straight #1 diesel now and add a lubricating additive. Both the lubricating additive and #1 diesel have cloud points of - 40F, so it isn't likely to gel.
