Winter storage of MMM

I have a set of the dolly wheels made for storing the MMM at 90 degrees to the floor. Just wondering if anyone has seen any problems with the gearbox if you do store it that way. Makes for good use of floor space in the garage. I have not seen any leaks but have learned to appreciate the combined knowledge of the people here.

I just got my 2305 with MMM and havent rigged this up yet but I stored the MMM deck from my JD445 like this for the past 8 years and it worked like a charm.

I like you love to conserve space and keep things tucked away when possible.

This was the first winter I stored the deck for my 445 that way. I liked the idea of being able to move it out of the way for the winter. I haven't seen any leaks, but plan to check the gearbox before starting it up this spring.
It also make it easier to check the blades while it's upright. (and chained to the wall)

I bought the mower axles from Larry last year, they are sure a great product and he is wonderful to deal with.

Can't see how storing the deck vertical would hurt the gearbox.

I actually drain my gearbox, replace the oil 80-90W and store it just as you mentioned. Personally, I like looking in there from time-to-time. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
